BIGuru is a 100% .NET 2.0 browser based Business Intelligence software system that can be extended by any development organization, and bundled with a rich set of pre-defined graphs and charts for data visualization. The heart of this system is a database driven set of queries that are referenced by name. The rendering of these queries is defined by the administrator and are embedded on a web page in a zone. There are no limits to how many of these zones can be defined on a web page, and a tabbed pane is used to add a third dimension to the report.
Attractive table grids, charts and graphs are generated from the underlying defining queries, and drill down can be assigned to the various GUI elements (pie wedges, and bars in a histogram, for example). Ajax is used to apply the drill down to only the clicked zone so that a full page refresh is not required. Sophisticated graphical rendering effects are realized client side using Javascript resulting in a rich user experience.
